Writing this kind of will make me do it

So the other day during a lab meeting it came up to the conversation this book on scientists and scientific tattoos. Actually I took a quick look and it has some nice ones.

Interestingly, even before this conversation, I have been thinking on getting a tattoo. For the people that actually know me this might come as a surprise because definitely I do not  fit the profile, and yes I am aware of that, no worries. I can actually give you the reasons for this decision so that you guys don't think this is not a well thought decision.

1.  It is kind of a commemoration of the fact that I survived Phd (ok, still have 4 more months and still am not sure of the actual end date, but I think it is safe to assume I will survive)

2. Something that will remind me of the errors in the past, so that I will not make them again and that will tell me the right way to follow.

3. And most importantly as a mark of a fresh start and a close to this chapter and fuck you (to the ones that this applies, and there are quite a few) all very much. My friend M. says I should wait a few months till I actually get it otherwise anger might show in it. But that's what I actually want, to keep me on my toes for the rest of my life.

And yes I already have concrete ideas on the design but for that you will have to wait till the day I actually make it. I accept suggestions on the place though. I will have to overcome my fear of needles and ugly tattooed men and I will need the assistance of one of my BFFs (yes I am recruiting one of you girls) to come along in this mission and no I am not asking you to take part. Do not worry this will be a one time event I do not wanna look like Raul Meireles or this girl (I am not even sure I can call this a girl, oh hell now she is going to hunt me down) http://debc100.blogspot.com/2011/04/mexican-vampire.html!

PS: I learned today that BFFs besides best friends forever also means big fat fuck (and also something else that I am not even gonna reproduce here because it is way too bad, if you are interested, go check it in the urban dictionary) but obviously before I meant the first...
